Tonight at 6PM: Dracula 1958

Dracula AKA Horror of Dracula (1958)

It doesn’t really matter what kind of weird flix fan you are, horror, B-movies, Hammer films, the classics, vampires, this checks so many boxes I’m sure you’ve at least heard of it. If not, Dracula 1958 is the first in the series of Hammer Horror films starring Christopher Lee as Count Dracula and Peter Cushing as Doctor Van Helsing. If you don’t know who they are, then I applaud you for your youth and envy the years of fine weird flick enjoyment that you have ahead of you. Also to help you know who they are, Christopher Lee played Count Dooku in the Star Wars prequels and Saruman the White in Lord of the rings while Peter Cushing graces the original Star Wars movie as Moff Wilhuff Tarkin.

Jonathan Harker begets the ire of Count Dracula after he accepts a job at the vampire’s castle under false pretenses, forcing his colleague Dr. Van Helsing to hunt the predatory villain when he targets Harker’s loved ones.
